Morrens Jonagored ®Supra

Jonagored Supra is a bright red mutation of the cultivar Jonagold and one of the best clonal selections of Jonagold in Europe. The fruits are large, about 85 mm in diameter, and they can be stored for a long period of time, until July. This cultivar has abundant yields without yield variation. The dark red color with barely visible red streaks covers up to 90% of the fruit. The fruit is of medium firmness and very succulent with a gentle aroma.

It is self-sterile, therefore Evereste, Golden Gem, Professor Sprenger, Braeburn, Elstar, Gala, Idared, Pinova and Topaz serve as good pollinators.

The variety ripens in the second half of September, starting about a week or two prior to the standard Jonagold, up to the middle of October. The tree is of medium to high vigor, although not as vigorous as other clones of Jonagold; however it has higher productivity in comparison.
